What You’ll Do

• Design, build, and operate the APIs and services that power products, partner integrations, and AI-driven experiences.
• Create a best-in-class platform for AI agents and developers with clear schemas, predictable behavior, strong guardrails, and robust observability.
• Define agent-facing infrastructure, including tool definitions, agent protocols, authentication, authorization, auditing, and safety controls.
• Own services end-to-end, from architecture and deployment through monitoring and operational excellence.
• Improve the developer experience for internal teams, external partners, and engineers building on the platform.
• Drive technical standards around API design, versioning, authentication, rate limiting, and observability.
• Mentor engineers, lead design reviews, and help elevate engineering culture.
• Partner closely with security and infrastructure teams to ensure reliability, scalability, and regulatory compliance.

What We’re Looking For

• 6+ years of software engineering experience, with significant expertise building backend systems and external-facing APIs.
• Deep knowledge of API design (REST, GraphQL, or gRPC), distributed systems, and scalable architectures.
• Strong production experience with Python, Go, Node.js, TypeScript, or Ruby on Rails in AWS environments.
• A strong perspective on designing APIs and tools that are intuitive and reliable for AI-powered applications and agents.
• Proven track record leading cross-functional technical initiatives and mentoring engineers.
• Experience owning operational excellence, including observability, incident response, and continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across engineering, product, and business stakeholders.
