Health System Sales Director

Location: Remote, US
Reports to: CEO
Department: Sales

About the Company

Our client is a high-growth healthcare technology company transforming clinical workflow interoperability across the acute and post-acute care continuum.

The platform replaces legacy, manual processes with intelligent, EMR-integrated workflows, enabling care teams to coordinate more effectively, improve operational efficiency, unlock revenue opportunities, and deliver better patient outcomes.

The company works with leading health systems and medical groups across the US, integrating its technology into existing EMR environments to modernize complex clinical and operational workflows.

The Opportunity

As the company continues to scale, it is looking for a Health System Sales Director to drive enterprise sales across US health systems and their owned and affiliated medical groups.

You will:

  • Lead net-new logo acquisition and expansion across large health systems.
  • Sell complex, EMR-integrated clinical workflow solutions to senior healthcare stakeholders.
  • Drive a consultative, value-based sales process within an emerging category of healthcare infrastructure software.
  • Help build and scale a high-performing enterprise sales motion.

This is a highly strategic, front-line sales role requiring deep experience navigating complex, multi-stakeholder healthcare environments and a demonstrated ability to close large enterprise SaaS deals.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Sales Execution

  • Own the full enterprise sales cycle, from pipeline generation through close, across large health systems and medical groups.
  • Consistently achieve and exceed revenue targets through high-value, complex deal execution.
  • Navigate longer sales cycles requiring alignment across multiple stakeholders and departments.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build relationships with senior stakeholders across clinical operations, physician enterprise and medical group leadership, population health, IT, and digital transformation.
  • Navigate complex health system organizational structures and align multiple stakeholders around a shared buying decision.

Consultative & Category-Defining Selling

  • Educate the market on an emerging solution category and clearly articulate the business and clinical problem being solved.
  • Develop ROI-led business cases that resonate with clinical, operational, and financial stakeholders.
  • Translate clinical and operational challenges into clear financial and strategic value.

Pipeline Development & GTM

  • Develop and manage a high-quality pipeline of enterprise opportunities.
  • Partner with Marketing and Leadership on outbound strategy and account prioritization.
  • Contribute to the development of messaging, positioning, and broader go-to-market strategy.

Sales Leadership & Scaling

  • Mentor and support junior sales reps as the commercial team grows.
  • Contribute to sales process development, forecasting discipline, and operational rigor.
  • Help establish the foundations of a scalable enterprise sales organization.

What Success Looks Like

  • Enterprise opportunities progress with strong ownership, discipline, and follow-through.
  • The business expands relationships and closes marquee health system accounts.
  • Executive stakeholders view the company as a credible partner in clinical workflow interoperability.
  • Pipeline quality, forecasting rigor, and overall sales execution continue to improve.
  • The enterprise sales motion becomes increasingly repeatable and scalable.

Required Experience

  • 5+ years of dedicated experience selling healthcare SaaS into health systems.
  • Majority of experience selling to clinical and operational executive stakeholders within health systems or physician enterprises.
  • Proven success selling complex enterprise SaaS solutions involving multi-stakeholder buying processes.
  • Demonstrated history of consistently meeting or exceeding sales quota, with clear evidence of performance.
  • Strong consultative and solution-based selling experience, particularly with newer or emerging technology categories.
  • Deep understanding of health system operations, clinical workflows, and EMR environments.

Preferred / Stand-Out Experience

  • Experience mentoring, developing, or managing enterprise sales reps.
  • Strong capabilities across sales operations, forecasting, and pipeline management.
  • Experience within a high-growth healthcare SaaS company, ideally at a similar growth stage.
  • Familiarity with major EMR environments and healthcare integrations.
  • Experience selling solutions supporting ambulatory, population health, clinical workflow, or post-acute environments.

The Person

You are:

  • A true enterprise seller who is comfortable navigating complex, high-stakes healthcare environments.
  • Highly credible in front of clinical and operational executives.
  • Energized by introducing new technologies and solution categories to the market.
  • Data-driven, accountable, and consistently high-performing.
  • Comfortable operating in a growing company where you can influence both sales execution and the development of the wider commercial function.

Package & Benefits

  • Competitive base salary and equity participation.
  • Fully remote working across the US with flexible working hours.
  • Regular company-wide offsites and team events.
  • Generous PTO and holiday allowance.
  • Health, vision, and dental insurance options.
  • 401(k).
