Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack | Healthcare RCM

We’re partnering with a fast-growing, Series B healthcare technology company building a modern operating platform for specialty healthcare practices.

The platform sits at the intersection of clinical care and practice operations, helping healthcare organizations streamline patient workflows, integrate fragmented clinical and financial data, automate administrative processes, and improve how providers get paid.

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer with deep Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) experience who can own features across the full stack. You’ll work across frontend applications, backend services, healthcare integrations, and complex financial workflows.

What You’ll Do

  • Own and ship full-stack product features from design through production
  • Build modern frontend experiences using TypeScript and Vue or React
  • Design and develop APIs and backend services using Node.js and Express
  • Model complex clinical, operational, and financial data in MongoDB
  • Build workflows across the revenue cycle, from pre-visit clearance through payment
  • Integrate with EHRs and other healthcare systems using standards such as HL7 and FHIR
  • Design auditable workflows for financial events and transaction states
  • Build configurable rules engines and state machines capable of handling evolving healthcare use cases
  • Improve existing architecture and systems as the product and customer base scale

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • 3+ years working directly with healthcare Revenue Cycle Management
  • Strong TypeScript experience across the stack
  • Modern frontend experience with Vue, React, or similar
  • Backend development experience with Node.js and Express
  • Experience with MongoDB/Mongoose or comparable document-oriented databases
  • Strong understanding of database schema design, indexing, and query performance
  • Experience building or integrating healthcare systems using HL7, FHIR, EHR APIs, or similar
  • Experience designing systems that process financial events and manage complex transaction states
  • Experience building configurable state machines, workflow engines, or rules engines
  • Comfortable working in large existing codebases and improving systems incrementally
  • Strong product mindset and ability to take features from specification through production

Nice to Have

  • EDI/X12 experience, especially 270/271 and 835
  • Claims, eligibility, prior authorization, denial management, payment, or billing experience
  • Durable workflow orchestration using Temporal, Cadence, or AWS Step Functions
  • Monorepo experience with Turborepo, Nx, or similar
  • AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Real-time or event-driven systems
  • Analytics/reporting built on transactional healthcare data
  • OpenAI API or other LLM/AI application experience

Ideal Background

You’ll likely come from a healthcare technology company where you’ve built software around claims, eligibility, billing, payments, prior authorization, patient financial workflows, or EHR integrations.

This is particularly well suited to engineers who enjoy solving messy healthcare problems where data, financial transactions, clinical workflows, and real-world operations don’t always fit neatly into predefined systems.
